Drew Wright, Senior Connections Member and Hartwell Place Volunteer
CMSS offers an array of programs and services to older adults and their families. We are proud to say that some people connect with us through two or more of the programs we offer. In this “Multi-Program Participation” series, we highlight individuals who we have supported across multiple CMSS services.

Drew Wright is a Junior studying Human Development at Northwestern University. She began volunteering with CMSS this spring, first joining the Senior Connections program. She and her match Cynthia meet regularly and enjoy sharing stories and crafting. Drew also started volunteering at Hartwell Place, joining activities and visiting with residents. She says, “I love spending time with older adults but this is my first time interacting with seniors living with dementia. When I’m with Hartwell Place residents, we focus on being in the moment. It has helped me learn to be more mindful and present in my life, which I’m grateful for.”
