Movies in the Park – Get Out & Watch!

Movies….everyone loves a good movie and there’s no better novelty than seeing one of your favorites under a starry sky. Luckily, the Chicago Park District gives you just that opportunity with their Movies in the Park program.

For 12 years in Chicago, there have been movies in the park. With 176 screenings in 128 citywide parks, this year’s season kicked off June 11th. If you’re thinking you’ve missed the whole season, have no fear – you’ve really just missed the hot humid nights. There is still plenty of time left to catch a flick with your loved ones (young and old) while you enjoy your favorite picnic foods.

Remember, admission is FREE and movies start at dusk. You can call the Movies in the Park hotline for daily listings and updated weather-related cancellations at 312-742-1134, or check out the schedule on the park district website:http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/events/movies/. Regardless – get out and enjoy this beautiful weather while you can!
