Caregivers: Seen, Valued, and Appreciated

National Caregivers Day is a time to honor the millions of people who support aging loved ones every day. As the population ages, the need for caregiving continues to grow. Over 60% of caregivers are family members, many of whom are women balancing full-time employment with caregiving responsibilities.

While caregiving can be deeply meaningful, it is also demanding. Caregivers often face emotional stress, physical fatigue, and isolation — especially when caring for someone with memory loss or complex health needs. Having trusted, compassionate support can make a meaningful difference.

At CMSS, highly trained care partners work alongside families every day to provide that support. Across CMSS programs — including SASI — 100% of residents report an above-average impact on their quality of life, a testament to the skill, dedication, and compassion of the care teams who serve them.

CMSS offers several programs designed to support older adults while easing the burden on caregivers:

Hartwell Place Day Club provides a safe, engaging daytime environment for older adults, including those living with memory loss. Meaningful activities, social connection, and professional care provide caregivers with valuable time for work, rest, and personal needs.

Assisted Living Memory Care at Hartwell Place offers around-the-clock support in a secure, nurturing setting. Families gain peace of mind knowing their loved ones are receiving specialized care from highly trained and caring staff who address medical, social, and emotional needs to ensure a good quality of life.

CMSS also offers additional services that support caregivers and families at every stage:

On National Caregivers Day, we honor caregivers not only with gratitude but by reminding them they don’t have to do it alone. Support is available — and CMSS is here to help.
