Hartwell Place is an intimate assisted living community with engaging programming exclusively for those with memory loss. With only 28 apartments and a high caregiver-to-resident ratio, everyone receives personalized care from our specially-trained memory loss caregivers.
Programs and social interaction
Think of Hartwell Place as a lively household with a very large family. Nestled in a residential neighborhood, this former convent and its residents are very much a part of the surrounding community.
Every hour there are almost always two or three different programs or social activities going on – keeping residents engaged and helping prevent anxiety. Because our caregivers are also trained to lead these programs, you’ll find extremely close relationships between residents and caregivers, who together take daily walks in the neighborhood, shop at the farmer’s market and visit their beloved Art Institute of Chicago.
Family members frequently drop by for breakfast or dinner, and they usually have a hard time leaving because Hartwell Place is that kind of community.
Laughter and love. That’s what makes Hartwell Place so much more than you expect.
