Affordable Senior Housing

Chicago Methodist Senior Services proudly provides older adults in our community with two low-income housing options. The residences at Winwood Apartments and Glenwood Apartments are located in the heart of Andersonville, close to public transportation and steps away from our Wesley Place campus. These two communities provide seniors who still live independently with apartments at below-market rates. Winwood Apartments is a 31-apartment, HUD-subsidized senior housing building at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Winona Street. The building offers secure residences with modern amenities. Residents must qualify as “very low income” in accordance with HUD guidelines, with rent calculated to be approximately 30% of the resident’s monthly income. Glenwood Apartments is a 13-apartment, vintage brick building at the corner of Glenwood and Winnemac Avenues. Residents must qualify as “very low income” in accordance with HUD guidelines, with rent calculated to be approximately 40% of the resident’s monthly income, subject to minimums and maximums.
