Season’s Palliative with Dr. Marwah

June 28, 2017      5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Palliative care is an interdisciplinary specialty focused on symptom management, quality of life and relief of distress for patients with serious illness. As the field continues to grow rapidly, we must prepare ourselves to meet this need with high quality care.

This one-hour presentation describes the palliative philosophy of care and how it differs from hospice care. We will provide one CEU credit for social workers, nurses, case managers and nursing home administrators who attend.

This comprehensive course is delivered by expert palliative care clinician Dr. Birinder Marwah. Dr. Marwah is the Chief of Geriatrics and Director of the Acute Care Geriatric Unit at Advocate Masonic Medical Center.
