This presentation for older adults, caregivers, and family members will discuss strategies and options for aging well, both in your home and in a care facility. We will address topics such as memory care, staying socially engaged, and utilizing maintenance therapy.

LGBTQ+ History Month Pop-Up

Join Thrive with Pride for an insightful LGBTQ+ history presentation by College of DuPage Lecturer Frank Serafino followed by engagement with archival materials and staff from Gerber/Hart, the largest LGBTQ+ library and archives in the Midwest.

Event will include a brief history presentation, engaging archival material, light refreshments, and aging resources. No need to RSVP. We will see you there!

October Edgewater Memory Cafe

Individuals living with memory loss and their caregivers are invited to join this monthly Memory Café with activities, games, arts and crafts and more in a comfortable and supportive environment.  Friends, family members, and community allies also are welcome! Light refreshments will be served.

Scam Prevention Presentation

Join the CMSS community for a special presentation by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. We will learn about common phone and internet scams, with a focus on scams and fraud tactics that are often used to target older adults. Attendees will learn how to detect, prevent, and report scams.
