Please join Dr. William Rhoades, for a lively lunch and learn, where he will touch on the diagnosis, prognosis and stages of dementia, as well as expectations of patients, families and caregivers. Objectives to be met included:

    Discuss the three aspects of dementing illnesses: cognitive losses, functional decline and behavioral issues.
    Evaluate treatment modalities for Alzheimer’s disease.
    Illustrate the importance of caring for the full family upon Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

Dr. William D. Rhoades, D.O., FACP is the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Management at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL since January 2020. Dr. Rhoades is a geriatrician and practiced at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for 25 years. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care and Hospice. In 2009, he became the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Advocate Lutheran General and Vice-Chair of Clinical Science at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 2011. Dr. Rhoades has special expertise in dementia and end of life care.
