Breaking Communication Barriers: Connecting with Older Adults

October 25, 2017      5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Having someone on your side can make a world of difference as you age. “Solo agers” are older adults who have limited contact with family and social networks. It can be challenging to reach these people, as well as effectively communicate care options to them. How can you cater your approach to better serve this growing population?

Join us as Teri Dreher, RN, CCRN, iRNPA explores this topic. Social workers, professional counselors, nurses, and nursing home administrators are eligble for a 1.0 hour continuing education credit through Elderwerks.

If you’re not looking for a continuing education credit but would like to attend, RSVP with Marianna at marianna.vitkova@cmsschicago.org
