Throughout our communities, Chicago Methodist Senior Services has been caring for and enriching the lives of older adults for 121 years. As an organization, we look forward to recognizing and supporting our mission at the CMSS Annual Spring Benefit Brunch to be held on Saturday April 27th, 2019 at the Saddle & Cycle Club in Chicago.
This year CMSS will be raising money to help cultivate and support a groundbreaking and innovative program called Sounds of Healing. This program will incorporate therapeutic music into the overall healthcare plans of CMSS residents. Recent scientific research shows the positive effects music has on the brain and other body systems in a measurable way. Using that knowledge, caregivers can now integrate music with medicine to promote healing, manage stress, alleviate pain, improve communication and promote physical rehabilitation among other benefits.
Our goal for this year’s benefit is to raise $100,000. To fully integrate the Sounds of Healing program successfully, we need to secure all the resources required to build a strong foundation. We believe this program will be a cornerstone in the care we provide for years to come. In addition, money raised will support our other continuous Engagement through the Arts initiatives.
Please join us at our 2019 Spring Fundraiser Brunch at the Saddle & Cycle Club as we celebrate 121 years of caring.
Tickets are $120/person, and tables of 10 are available online at https://www.cmsschicago.org/fundraiser/
