Covenant Methodist Home Care offers a professional and personal approach to home care, enabling older adults to remain independent
and safe in the comfort of their own
homes. We are one of the few nonprofit and accredited
home care providers in the community.
Our home care program is flexible with respect to the amount of assistance you may require. An initial home visit is arranged to meet with you or a loved one to understand what your personal needs are. Home visits by management staff continue through-out your use of our home care program. Supervisory staff is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to attend to any inquiries or emergencies.
As the employer of its caregiving staff, Covenant Methodist Home Care includes the following:
criminal background checks prior to hiring
drug screenings for caregivers prior to hiring
bonding and insuring of caregivers
covering caregivers under worker’s
compensation in case of an injury
monitoring and supervision of caregivers by management
Covenant Methodist Home Care is a licensed Home Services Agency by the Illinois Department of Public Health. All non-medical home care providers are to be licensed as a Home
Services Agency in order to continue to operate as a home care provider.
Covenant Methodist Home Care is an integral part of Covenant Methodist Senior Services’ commitment to helping older adults age in place. We are dedicated to providing a team-oriented approach to home care that is responsive to the needs of older adults. In doing so, we offer the following services:

Overnight care
Personal care and hygiene
Housekeeping and laundry
Meal preparation
Grocery shopping
Companionship
Respite care
Telephone contact
Medication reminders
Escort to doctor or hospital visits
We design schedules to meet your specific needs. Ongoing supervision and monitoring occur to maintain your needs and to make any necessary changes to your plan of care.
Care Management is an integral part of our home care program, which seeks to provide you or a loved one with a supportive and safe environment while encouraging as active and independent a lifestyle as possible. Our care management activities include regular follow-up visits and assistance with finding ancillary resources. Care management activities do not typically incur separate fees, unless excessive use of management time is required.

Our home care service is guided by NPDA’s ethical standards and better business practices. As a member, Covenant Methodist Home Care is required to employ its caregiving staff and maintain workers compensation coverage and liability insurance.
