Chicagoland Methodist Senior Services is excited to announce
that the National Private Duty Association (NPDA) is
hosting a free web conference, "Addressing Legal Issues that Impact
Seniors," on September 22nd concerning legal issues that impact the
lives of seniors.
The NPDA is a trusted and reliable resource in the world of home
care. It represents more than 1,200 organizations within the United
States. It is their mission to set high standards of care for
providers and to educate older adults and caregivers about the
service options that are available to them. As a member of the
NPDA, Methodist Senior Home Care presents an approach
to home care that is designed to support those who wish to age at
home. As a nonprofit organization, a primary goal of CMSS's
Methodist Senior Home Care is to ensure that each older adult and
their family are given the peace of mind they deserve.
The president of the NPDA, Shelia McMackin notes, "Caring for an
aging parent brings many challenges. It's vital that a family know
what legal issues they need to address and the appropriate timing
involved. Being knowledgeable of these issues is key to protecting
your aging parent, providing the best care possible."
The event's presenter is Joseph T. Monahan, M.S.W., A.C.S.W.,
J.D., a lawyer and recognized expert in social work issues. The
webinar will cover various topics including: powers of attorney,
informed consent and guardianships, wills and trusts, advanced
directives, assessing the need/timing for legal issues, and an
overview of elder law issues.
"Addressing Legal Issues that Impact Seniors" will be held on
September 22nd at 7pm CT. To be a part of this free web conference,
