More than 200 Years of Combined Leadership and Strength
In early 2006, Covenant Retirement Communities and United
Methodist Homes & Services, two faith-based,
non-sectarian, nonprofit organizations -- each with more than
100 years of service supporting older adults -- formed an alliance
to provide a continuum of health care services and housing to
seniors on the north side of Chicago.
Covenant Retirement Communities was founded in 1896 and operates
skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living retirement
communities. United Methodist Homes & Services was incorporated
in 1898 and operates rehabilitation, memory support assisted
living, affordable housing, home care, and home repair and
improvement services.
Now known as Covenant Methodist Senior Services (CMSS), we offer
a variety of supportive services and residential options, all of
which have the coveted endorsement of the Commission on
Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Sponsored by the
American Association of Homes & Services for the Aging, CARF is
the nation's only accrediting body for aging services and only
those providers that meet their stringent standards are awarded
CARF accreditation. The CARF "seal of approval" is your
assurance of CMSS' commitment to excellence and the highest
standards of care. For more information about CARF, visit
their web site: www.carf.org.
