About Us

For over 115 years, Chicagoland Methodist Senior Services has faithfully served older adults in Chicago, continuing to develop new programming that meets the changing needs of the population.  Our nonprofit mission, commitment to innovation, and strong relationships with health care and other community leaders reinforce the established reputation we are proud to claim.  Many of our employees have dedicated decades of service to our clients, providing stability and consistent care for generations.  We value the individuals we serve above all else. Our care reflects our philosophy that life is precious and has meaning in all stages.

The Vision of Nonprofit Service

We are led by dedicated board members who believe in the vision of nonprofit service. Much research and discussion has taken place in recent years comparing for-profit and nonprofit providers.  Based on a 2011 study, the employees at our skilled facility spend over an hour more time with each patient, per day, than the national average. We are not beholden to shareholders or private equity firms who may be prioritizing bottom-line profits or increased market share. Therefore, we are in a strong position to devote more resources to staffing, equipment, benevolent funds and other areas that advance person-centered care.

A Measurement of Quality Care

Our commitment to the highest possible standards of service and improvement is reflected in the care of our clients.  To demonstrate this commitment, we elect to have each of our programs accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).  This means that we consistently pass an extensive review of our services, providing assurance that we have met rigorous guidelines for quality and client satisfaction.
